Two things about your focus especially appealed to me in this post: "noise to signal" ratio and "value." Everyone's trying to sort through the noise to find the signal - real signal two-way (or multi-way?) communication. And in business, at least, any activity will ultimately be measured by the value it creates for customers and people in the business.
